Mumbai blasts: Guilty will be found soon
It would soon be known who triggered the blasts, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said.

Raipur: Several leads have been obtained in the probe into Mumbai train blasts and it would soon be known who triggered them and how, Union Minister of State for Home Sriprakash Jaiswal said on Sunday.

"The probe is moving in the right direction. Several leads have been obtained and it will not be proper to comment on them at this time. You will come to know about it two to four days," he said.

Jaiswal added that the alleged involvement of Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) in the Mumbai blasts was being probed.

"We do not want to derail India's peace process with Pakistan but after the Mumbai blasts, it could be affected", the Minister added.

When asked whether the bus services between India and Pakistan would be discontinued, Jaiswal said the Capital did not want to do to anything which would derail the peace process.

To a question on whether Mumbai blasts were a result of intelligence failure, Jaiswal said because of the alert major incidents like in Nagpur (attempted attack on Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh head-quarters) was foiled and RDX was seized in Aurangabad.

However, one or two incidents do take place despite alerts, Jaiswal replied.

With regard to the extradition of the two arrested Pakistani nationals from Nepal in connection with the Mumbai blast in the absence of any extradition treaty between both the countries, Jaiswal said, "Nepal is a friendly country and no one needs to be worried on that front."
