All the party MLAs would respect the decision of the high command, he added. The Chief Minister said the government proposed to establish an air base in every district, since it was complementary to development. The proposal of providing land to the Indian Navy at Hattikeri near Ankola to extend the runway of the proposed Naval air station for allowing civilian aircraft would be considered. On the fear of radiation in the vicinity of Kaiga Nuclear Power Project, he said that the state government had received a letter from the Prime Minister’s office regarding a health survey in these villages by Tata Memorial Hospital. “The state government would also arrange an independent survey by Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, to dispel fear among villagers.
