Lorry driver dies as trucks collide

A lorry driver, Rajkumar (34), died and four others were injured when two lorries collided on Hyderabad- Warangal highway on Sunday night.

The collision led to a fire which engulfed both trucks.

According to Bhongir Rural police, one of the trucks with a consignment of fertilisers was on its way to Hyderabad when another truck loaded with sweet lemons crashed into it.

The driver of the truck with fertiliser load, Rajkumar, was burnt alive in the fire.

Three cleaners travelling in the other truck and the driver jumped down from the cabin and saved their lives but suffered injuries.

They were shifted to a hospital in Hyderabad.

Rajkumar was native of Lingala in Stationghanpur mandal in Warangal district.

Police registered a case and investigation is on.
