KOCHI: Responding to protests launched by political parties, the newly-launched Chittoor-Cheranellore-Kakkanad KSRTC service which was suspended more than a week ago will resume service from Friday, said ATO M V Gopalakrishnan on Thursday. Also, all those suspended city circular services of the KSRTC will be immediately restarted, he added.Earlier on Thursday, the Youth Congress activists gheroed the ATO’s office in protest of the cancellation.“The KSRTC has been suspending services without prior notice.This is unacceptable.We demand the immediate resumption of all services,” said Youth Congress Ernakulam district president Albert Ambalathinkal.The party workers threatened to call a strike, but withdrew it immediately when the ATO promised that he would order all the suspended services to be restored, including that of the Volvo buses.Earlier, Hibi Eden MLA had asked the ATO to restore the suspended services.
