KPCC seeks CBI probe in BBMP scam

BANGALORE: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Dr G Parameshwara has urged the State government to hand over Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike’s multicrore scam to CBI for investigation.Speaking to reporters, he alleged, “The government transferred Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Commissioner Siddaiah to protect  the guilty.”“The government removed Siddaiah from BBMP because it did not like the probe ordered by him,” he charged.Expressing apprehension that Rs 1,539 crore fraud in the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike seems to be bigger than it appears, the KPCC President felt that only a CBI inquiry will reveal the truth.Referring to the fire incident in which some important documents were destroyed at BBMP building recently, he alleged,”It was a part of the conspiracy by the fraudsters.”
