For kebab fans who really just want a platter to dig into, without the distractions of a main course, the Jashn-e-Kebab food festival at Khaansaab is the place to go.
Specially crafted for Kebab lovers, the unlimited menu includes a soup and about 10 different kinds of kebab in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, besides an assortment of Indian breads and dessert.
While the vegetarian menu include regular favourites like Paneer tikka and Khatti Mithi Aloo ki tikki, other traditional kebabs include the Dahi ki Shami, Khumb ki Galouti and Chat Pata Baby Corn. The main course includes Paneer Jalfrezi, cooked in peppers and onions and Rara Tikki Masala.
For meat-eaters, the choice gets better, with not just non-vegetarian kebabs to gorge on, but also a select choice of vegetarians kebabs as well.
Besides the soup for the day and a Palak Chaat which is common to both menus, and a few vegetarian kebabs, other meaty delicacies like Masaledar chope (mutton chops), Murgh tawey ke tikke, Murgh khurchan and Amritsari fish. The main course includes Meat beli ram, marinated meat cooked in gravy, followed by dessert.
The vegetarian meal is priced at `555 and the non-vegetarian at `777, both inclusive of taxes.
Jashn-e-Kebab is on till September 23 for dinner, beginning at 7 pm. For those of you who make it on September 21 and 22, live ghazal music by Mohammed Azeez and Shri Sushrut Pandit, is in store.
Besides the kebab festival, Khaansaab has also launched the Royal lunch menu, Daawat-e-Khaansaab in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
A set-menu is served everyday that rotates through the week. Priced at `379 exclusive of taxes, the lunch is designed for corporate eaters who can quickly come in for a bite without having to bother with making a choice everyday yet get a variety to lunch on. Daawat-e-Khaansaab will be served everyday from 12 noon to 3:30 pm.
