ITCs gesture for Ganjam fishermen

BHUBANESWAR: The fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) major ITC Ltd has contributed Rs 4 lakh towards improving the community life of fishermen of Ganjam district. A cheque, bearing the amount, was handed over to Gopalpur MLA Dr Pradip Panigrahi on Wednesday.The cash contribution will be used to construct four roads in New Baxipali area which is inhabited by about 500 below poverty line (BPL) fishermen families. Proper roads in the area will improve access to more and better markets, trading and health care.Besides the roads will foster overall well-being of the community.
