Instal Ambedkar statue: VCK

Members of the VCK, Puratchi Bharatham and Indhiya Kudiyarasu Katchi held a protest on Saturday in Ranipet demanding the installation of a statue of Ambedkar at the roundabout near Ranipet Old Bus Stand.

Though the place was earmarked for a statue, the Municipality had permitted the Rotary Club to build a clock tower at the spot.

They approached Ranipet MLA and Backward Classes Minister Mohammed John who permitted them to install Ambedkar statue.
