Understanding of god
My understanding of god comes from a number of things that I have done and still do since the day I was saved by his blessings. It takes a lot of effort and time to get to know god and I feel that most people are not willing to expend time and energy. We often seem to blame god for every bad thing that happens in the world. Many natural disasters have been made worse because of the misuse of resources on our planet, but we choose to blame god.
My understanding is that god is a spirit— powerful, omnipotent and omnipresent.
Spiritual beliefs
I believe in being kind and respectful to everyone, making sure I help people in need. I believe that god acts through my parents and good people around me.
Spiritual practices
Prayer includes respect, love and faith. Through prayer, I acknowledge that god is helping me and responding to my requests. I believe prayer is an important part of my spiritual practice.
Spiritual love doesn’t have expectations.
Sacrifice helps to create the space within us to receive. Only when we let go of the sand in our hand, can god fill it with the diamonds he has in store for us.
Being patient in relationships by not trying to force change, or demanding, especially, if we or our loved ones are suffering physically or emotionally. Let patience be a wall that protects us. I strongly believe spiritual maturity comes through diligence.
Pilgrimage sites
I’ve visited most of the pilgrimage sites in South India and I like to visit Tirupati often. In future, I would like to visit Amarnath and Badrinath.
Miracles
If we believe in god, we can experience miracles in tough times.
