Himachal Pradesh: Three die as bridge over river washes away due to floods

Hamirpur: Three people died after a bridge over a river in Himachal Pradesh's Hamirpur district washed away.

The bridge over Sheer Khud river washed away on Thursday night following flash floods in the region. Divers have managed to fish out one body while the two others remain missing. Rescue operations are underway.

Rains wreaked havoc in state's Mandi, Kangra and Hamirpur districts on Thursday night, triggering landslides and disrupting traffic. Officials say they are aware of the situation and have alerted local authorities to take care of their respective areas.
