Hillary to win polls, Mush may lose job: report
Financial Times speculated that Musharraf may not be President by end of 2008.

London: Hillary Clinton, the former First Lady of US, will be the next US president while there is a possibility of Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf losing his job by the end of the year, a media report claimed today.

"Barring a remarkable upset, the Democratic nominee will win the election," the Financial Times predicted on the electoral future of the Democrat nominee Clinton.

"Her lead among Democrats is big and well-entrenched," it further said.

However in the Pakistan, with the murder of Ms Bhutto just days before the elections and the government coming up with new stories everyday about her death, the report says that Musharaff's position is probably now more insecure and he might not remain in power by the end of the year.

"A period of increased instability is now inevitable. There is a better than even chance that Mr Musharraf will not be president by the end of the year," it said.

Speculating about the future of Russia the report says that if Medvedev, Putin's candidate for the presidential poll, wins the election the power will still remain in hands of Putin.

It further adds that keeping in mind Putin's popularity there are better chances of Medvedev winning the elections.

"Given Mr Putin's personal popularity and the Kremlin's backing, Mr Medvedev will win by a mile. He will then make Mr Putin his prime minister. At this point, Parliament (Duma) may well vote to change the Constitution to transfer power from the president to the prime minister."

However, he is not in a position to become a dictator as power is divided in Kremlin, who owe their allegiance to the president but not their absolute loyalty.
