From cyberspace to telespace, hackers are quite a menace. They forced Russia's newly started English news channel off air.
New Delhi: Hackers have forced Russia's newly-started 24-hour English language news channel Russia Today off the air.
"There was an attempt to hack into the computer system, viruses appeared and interfered with broadcasting," the TV channel's Editor-in-Chief Margarita Simonyan told Interfax.
"The problems are being eradicated, and as soon as they are fixed, the TV channel will resume broadcasting," she said adding the channel apologised to viewers for the inconvenience.
Russia's first English TV channel Russia Today started broadcasting last Saturday.
