Explosives recovered from forest

KORAPUT: The police on Sunday recovered huge quantity of explosives, including landmines, claymore mines and detonators from Pachingi forest under Naryanpatna police limits on Sunday. On a tip-off, local police and special operation group (SOG) raided the forest and recovered the explosives hidden in steel pots. The explosives could have been used to blow up culverts and vehicles, Naryanpatna IIC AK Rout said.Earlier, the police had recovered 250 kg of liquid explosives from the same forest area in May, this year.
