HYDERABAD: A woman, said to be a former Maoist, was found murdered at her residence in Ramanthapur under the Uppal police limits Friday. Veeramalla Pushpa (35), was found with her throat slit and lying in a pool of blood.
According to the police, Pushpa was staying with her children at Pragathinagar in Ramanthapur since last one year. After her children went to school on Friday morning leaving her alone, some intruders are believed to have barged in around 12.30 p.m. and murdered her. Pushpa's husband Ganesh Babu, who was said to be a Maoist sympathiser once, had been murdered around three years ago.
