BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Women and Narcotics Squad of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 grams of cocaine, 850 grams of gold ornaments, a car, ATM cards and other goods worth Rs 25 lakh. He used to cheat his customers by selling them baking soda for cocaine after giving them a small amount of original cocaine.The accused has been identified as Suresh Pujari alias Golden Suresh (32), a resident of Manipal and a native of Udupi.According to the police, they had received a tip off about a person selling cocaine inside a Swift car on Cottonpet Main Road. Based on that, the police swung into action and arrested the accused. “He used to bring small amount of cocaine from Manipal and give it as a sample to his customers. Once they are convinced with it, they ordered in larger quantities and Pujari cheated them by giving baking soda for cocaine,” the police explained.“With the ill-gotten money he used to lead a lavish life and bought high-end mobile phones and jewels. He is also accused in eight threatening of life, three attempt to murder and one rioting cases registered in Udupi, Kundapur and Kota police stations,” the police added.Student Robbed of ValuablesA student was robbed of his valuables by three unidentified miscreants at Hoody Circle in Mahadevapura police station limits on Monday. The victim Abhishek Singh, 21, is a resident of Raj Palya in Hoody Garden.Police said the incident took place when Singh was walking back to his house after having dinner from a nearby restaurant.
