Congress leaders pay tribute to Nehru

BANGALORE: Many Congress leaders remembered the former prime minister late Jawaharlal Nehru’s contribution to lay foundation to build a vibrant country and paid tribute on his birth anniversary.At a function organised at the office of the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), the leaders including AICC general secretary B K Hariprasad and KPCC president Dr G Parameshwar said that ‘Nehru had laid a strong foundation for the modern India’.KPCC president said that Nehru had a visionary approach in his every action.AICC general secretary and senior Congress leader B K Hariprasad remembered that Jawaharlal Nehru never compromised with the values including that of secular and maintaining integrity of the country.  Senior Congress leaders including former Rajya Sabha member H Hanumanthappa, former minister Moinuddin and several other office-bearers of the KPCC were also present on the occasion.
