PUDUCHERRY: K S Shetty, Chairman of CII Puducherry, said the increase in Service Tax from 10 per cent to 12 per cent would have an impact on the all the items that were used by the common man.He was delivering the inaugural address at a CII session on post budget analysis held here on Tuesday.Shetty, vice-president of Hindusthan National Glass and Industries Limited, said that the Union Finance Minister had focussed more on the subsidies to the agriculture, relief to the power sector, food subsidies infrastructure and urban development sector and added that the budget was a disappointment to the salaried class.K Vaitheeswaran, advocate and consultant from Chennai spoke in detail about the analysis of the budget implications to the participants. He said the Budget 2012-13 was a mixed bag with negatives outweighing the positive.K Amarnath, Vice Chairman, CII Puducherry gave the concluding remarks at the Session.
