KOCHI: The LDF and UDF candidates in Piravom filed their nominations on Monday. LDF candidate M J Jacob and UDF candidate Anoop Jacob filed their nomination papers before Pampakuda block development officer M Aravindakshan Nair. Both the candidates filed two sets of papers.The LDF candidate was accompanied by LDF convener Vaikom Viswan, CPM Ernakulam district secretary M V Govindan and other LDF leaders.After filing the nomination papers M J Jacob said that the people of Piravom are with him and expressed confidence of winning the elections with a huge margin.Kerala Congress (J) chairman Johny Nellore, DCC president V J Paulose and other UDF leaders accompanied Anoop Jacob. After filing the papers, Anoop claimed that the UDF would create history in Piravom.
