Awareness programme on cardiac diseases held

KOCHI: In connection with World Heart Day celebrations, the Cardiology Department of Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church, MOSCMedical College conducted an awareness programme on Thursday. The programme started with a free medical check-up to detect the risk factors of coronary artery diseases. The walkathon which followed later was flagged  off by organising secretary Sunny K Peter and dean Dr C Radhakrishnan. Around 400 people participated in the rally. Messages on life-style diseases and relevance of World Heart Day was given and a talk on ‘Diet and Heart’ was also held.
