A government officer, along with three members of his family, was killed when their car rammed into a roadside tree in Chhattisgarh's Kondagaon district on Monday, the police said. The incident took place on NH-30 near Ghodagaon Village under Kondagaon police station limits on Monday evening, Kondagaon Additional Superintendent of Police Surjit Atri told PTI.
The victims were identified as Joint Director of Animal Husbandry Department, Bastar Division, Bhanu Kawde (45), his wife Meena (38), their son Shanu (5) and Bhanu's mother Ahilya (75). The officer, posted at Jagdalpur, was heading towards his work place from his native village Ekladongri in Charama area along with his family when the mishap occurred.
