KOCHI: The national executive council of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will begin here on Thursday. ABVP national president Milind Marathe will inaugurate the four-day meet at 10 am at the Ernakulam Town Hall. As many as 250 national executive council members from various states are expected to attend the meet along with the national office-bearers of the organisation. Presidents and secretaries of the ABVP state units will also attend. In addition to the members, observer delegates from Pragik Vidyarthi Parishad, Nepal, and the office-bearers of the World Organisation of Students and Youth will also take part in the meet. The national executive council will adopt two resolutions - one on ‘present educational scenario and issues’ and the other on the ‘current national scene. A special resolution on the problems and issues related to education and employment of North- Eastern states and security threats to students of the North-East will also be adopted. There will be two special talks on ‘Kashmir: Present status and historical reference’ by Arun Kumar, All-India Saha Samparka Pramukh of the RSS and ‘Climate change and life style’ by Kailash sharma of Jaipur, former president of the ABVP. The national executive will discuss issues related to the reports tabled by the Parliamentary Standing Committee on various bills . Based on the discussions, the ABVP will submit its suggestions to the Union Government.
