The five are among the 19 persons, booked in connection with the attack masterminded by the rivals of Jegan.The Tamil Nadu police intercepted the Innova car used in the attack at Kandamangalam on Friday night, while the five men were fleeing in the vehicle. Seeing the police the five abandoned the car and fled. The police after a search, secured them. The five arrested were Tamilselvan, Mani (alias) Suthi Mani, Mathiash, Selvam and Zampole, all aged between 24 and 30 years and hailing from Uppalam and Vanarapet.Meanwhile, a judicial enquiry by Judicial Magistrate JM-II is simultaneously going on as the incident took place while Jegan was taken to sub-jail at Karaikal. Five persons have been arrested in connection with Friday’s bomb attack on a police van that killed a rowdy, Jegan. The five are among the 19 persons, booked in connection with the attack masterminded by the rivals of Jegan.
