3 run over by car; one dead, 2 hurt

HYDERABAD: One person died and two others were injured after they were crushed under a Santro car at Jubilee Hills road no 5 while the driver was reversing the car on Thursday.  Jubilee Hills sub-Inspector K Srinivas said at around 3 p.m, S Anil Kumar, a software engineer at IBM, was guiding his car out of his house in reverse gear. While negotiating the curve to bring the car completely out of his house, he did not see three labourers— Hanumanthu, Raju and Ramulu- sleeping on the corner. All three got crushed under the wheels. Hanumanthu died on the spot while the remaining two are undergoing treatment in a local hospital.  “Anil Kumar failed to notice the labourers who were sleeping on the roadside and and as a consequence one of them died,’’ Srinivas said. Anil Kumar was arrested under section 304 A (negligence) of Indian Penal Code (IPC).
