HYDERABAD: The Karkhana police on Wednesday arrested a notorious burglar and seized an Alto car, a Bajaj pulsar bike and 17 tola gold ornaments, all worth Rs 6.75 lakh from him.On a tip off, police apprehended Manthri Shanker alias Shiva alias Shivanna while he was going in a stolen Alto car to pledge the stolen gold ornaments.On interrogation, he confessed to committing four burglaries under the Gandhi Nagar, Bowenpally, Osmania University and Karkhana police station limits.Police said Shanker is a habitual offender, involved in 228 property offences under various police limits of Hyderabad and Cyberabad.A City Dossier Criminal(CDC) sheet is being maintained against him at Chilkalguda police station.He was so far convicted in 209 cases and 19 non-bailable warrants were pending against him.
