THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Ten Community Development Societies (CDS) from rural areas and five from urban areas have been chosen for the state awards which carry a cash prize of `2.75 lakh each. Thillankeri (Kannur), Nadathara (Thrissur), Nedumkandam (Idukki), Kumaramputhur (Palakkad), Kinalur-Karinthalam (Kasaragod), Edathala (Ernakulam), TV Puram (Kottayam), Karode (Thiruvananthapuram), Edavaka (Wayanad) and Sasthamcotta (Kollam) have been adjudged as the top 10 outstanding CDS from among the hundreds units working under the panchayats, Minister for Panchayats M K Muneer announced here on Tuesday.
