Matthew Perry Leaves $1 Million For Trust Named After Annie Hall Character: Report
In his will, Matthew named his mother Suzanne Morrison and father John Perry as well as his half-sibling Caitlin Morrison and his former girlfriend Rachel Dunn as beneficiaries.

NBC’s iconic sitcom star Matthew Perry, aka Chandler Bing, passed away almost five months ago at the age of 54. Now, specifics about the beloved F.R.I.E.N.D.S actor’s will have emerged. According to a legal file acquired by Page Six, the majority of the late actor’s assets would be placed in a trust with a well-known Hollywood acquaintance.

According to the 2009 document, which Perry created, he intended to leave his belongings in the Alvy Singer Living Trust, presumably named after Woody Allen’s character from Annie Hall.

In his will, Matthew named his mother, Suzanne Morrison, and father, John Perry, as well as his half-sibling, Caitlin Morrison, and his former girlfriend, Rachel Dunn, as beneficiaries.

Furthermore, he specified in his will that his children would not be eligible to receive any of his assets. However, the actor never had children.

In addition to the amount that his executors, Lisa Ferguson and Robin Ruzan, had previously placed in the living trust, the filing also shows that Perry possessed over $1 million in personal belongings at the time of his death. He possessed $1,030,000 in personal goods, “not limited to jewellery, furniture and furnishings, works of art, and automobiles,” according to the filing

Ruzan, Mike Myers’ ex-wife, was an executive producer on the game show Celebrity Liar, in which Perry participated in 2010. Ferguson is scheduled to appear alone in a Los Angeles Superior Courtroom on April 10 for a will hearing after Ruzan declined to co-execute the trust on March 4.

Matthew passed away in his Los Angeles residence on Saturday, October 28, 2023. In an autopsy that was made public in December, it was eventually determined that the actor’s death was due to acute ketamine effects. His death was deemed accidental and attributed to drowning, coronary artery disease, and the effects of buprenorphine, a medicine used to treat substance abuse. Even while the autopsy determined that “acute effects of the drug Ketamine” were the cause of death, it also stated that since Ketamine has a short half-life and Perry had last had treatment more than a week before his death, the Ketamine that was discovered in his system could not have come from his Ketamine therapy.

Furthermore, Perry’s body showed no obvious needle marks, which is noteworthy considering that ketamine used in therapy is either sprayed or injected. Since the ketamine discovered in his body at the time of his death was found in his stomach, it is highly likely that he took the drug orally.

It is important to remember that “the exact method of intake in Mr. Perry’s case is unknown” according to the autopsy report.
