The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, has issued an online notification for candidates seeking admission to the MTech (Online) Degree Programme for academic session 2024. The institute is offering these programmes specifically designed for professionals who are currently employed. The programme will consist of theoretical coursework and practical project assignments held within participating organisations. The application portal to apply for these MTech courses will open on March 15 and remain accessible until April 1, 2024.

The MTech degrees are being offered by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science and Business Analytics, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. All programmes will be conducted online, featuring training from experienced faculty members.

IISc Bangalore Admissions: Eligibility Criteria

Data Science and Business Analytics:

Degree requirement: BTech, BE, BS (four years), or equivalent diploma after Class 12, or a master’s degree in any field.

Minimum score: A minimum of 60 per cent marks or its equivalent in all degrees is required to be eligible.

Artificial Intelligence:

Degree requirement: To be eligible for this course, candidates must possess a BE or BTech degree in CS/ECE/EE or a related field.

Minimum score: They must possess at least 70 per cent marks or its equivalent in all degrees.

Electronics and Communication Engineering:

Degree requirement: BE or BTech in ECE/EE or a relevant discipline is required to be eligible for the Electronics and Communication Engineering course.

Minimum score: Applicants must have a minimum of 60 per cent marks or its equivalent in all degrees.

IISc Bangalore Admissions: Selection Process

The selection of the candidate by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore will be done based on an online written examination. The Artificial Intelligence (AI) course test is all set to be held on May 4 from 10 AM to 11 AM, while the Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) test will be conducted from 4 PM to 5 PM on the same day. However, the Data Science and Business Analytics (DSBA) stream examination is set for May 5 from 10 AM to 11 AM.

It is to be noted that the applicants must provide their Classes 10 and 12, undergraduate, and postgraduate marksheets, along with a signed sponsorship letter from their employing organisation to be eligible for the MTech courses at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.
