There has been a lot of buzz around the star cast of Ajith’s upcoming film Vidaamuyarchi. As per the latest updates, actor Arjun Das walked out of the film due to the date clashes. He has been replaced by Arav. Besides Arav, actress Huma Qureshi, who earlier worked with Ajith in Valimai, has also joined the cast. Moreover, Trisha will be playing the female protagonist in the film. Earlier, a few days back, reports circulated suggesting that Sanjay Dutt will be playing the main antagonist against Ajith in Vidaamuyarchi.

Meanwhile, the film is expected to go on floors soon. It is expected to begin in October, and the first schedule of the film will be shot in Dubai. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander whereas Manoj Paramahamsa will be performing his duties behind the camera.

Vidaamuyarchi will be the sixth feature film of Magizh Thirumeni. The highly anticipated film will be made under the banner of Lyca Productions which has earlier produced films like Kaththi, Vada Chennai, and Ponniyin Selvan.

Vidaamuyarchi was earlier tentatively titled AK 62. The upcoming film marks the first collaboration between Anirudh and Magizh. It was earlier supposed to be directed by Vignesh Shivan. However, the production team didn’t approve of his storyline which led to creative differences between the both. Later, Magizh replaced Vignesh and stepped in to prove his mettle as a director again.
