Toyota has launched a groundbreaking flatbed delivery service initiative named ‘Awesome New Car Delivery Solution’, with the aim of transforming the car delivery process.

This initiative is set to transform the way new cars are delivered from stockyards to showrooms, eliminating the need for dealers to drive the vehicles to the delivery location.

Under this industry-first initiative, new Toyota vehicles will be transported directly from the stockyard to the showroom on a flatbed truck.

This will ensure that the vehicles reach their final delivery outlets without being driven on roads, even in rural and semi-urban locations where last-mile logistics pose challenges.

The ‘Awesome New Car Delivery Solution’ will be launched in phases, with the first phase covering 26 states and 130 dealerships.

The initiative aims to mitigate the risks associated with the transportation of new vehicles, thereby enhancing the overall safety and reliability of the vehicle transportation process.

Additionally, transit insurance will be provided through insurance companies, at no additional cost to the customer.

Customers will not incur any additional cost for the transportation of their new vehicles, as the service will be provided free of charge.

The initiative aims to establish a consistent, standardised, and trustworthy buying experience for customers’ nationwide, setting a new benchmark in the industry.

New vehicles will be transported on flatbed carriers for safe transportation, backed by transit insurance, ensuring utmost convenience and care.

Speaking on the initiative, Sabari Manohar, Vice President of the sales-service-used Car Business, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, was quoted by Car Dekho saying, “At Toyota Kirloskar Motor, our commitment to customer-centricity is paramount.”

He added that the company consistently strives to innovate, aiming to enhance the entire customer journey for an exceptional ownership experience.

“The introduction of the ‘Awesome New Car Delivery Solution’ initiative to be executed by our Dealers exemplifies our unwavering commitment to excellence.”

He went on to say that providing the transportation of new cars from dealer stockyards to showrooms through a carrier service, at no extra cost to customers, will not only provide peace of mind but also create a consistent purchasing experience across all locations by reducing transit-related problems.

He also stated that they will continue to expand their efforts to offer access to top-notch products and services.

He believes that this initiative will especially benefit customers in rural and semi-urban areas, where the movement of large trucks remains a challenge, and new vehicles are often driven from the dealer’s stockyard to the delivery location.
