Travelling on the Delhi Metro often brings its dose of drama, be it quarrelling passengers or content creators making reels. One of the most common problems in Delhi Metro is men encroaching upon ladies’ coach. While some may unintentionally violate the rules due to ignorance, others knowingly enter the women-only coaches before shifting to the other side. Unfortunately, a concerning trend has emerged where some men vehemently argue back when requested to relocate to the general coach. Now a video of one such incident is going viral.
In this undated video, a man is sitting in a women-only coach. When he is asked to leave, he begins arguing. At one point a woman says that they have asked him to move to the general coach five times. He then gets up and moves away, but before leaving he says, “Dhang se bol lo (Speak nicely).” This video has already gathered over 7.7 lakh views in less than a day.

This is not the first time that a man got into an argument over commuting in the women-only coach. Back in August 2023, a man kept arguing with a woman who asked him to leave the coach, soon other women passengers chimed in and told the man that he would be fined.
Commenting on this video, an X user wrote, “That man is at fault. He shouldn’t be in the ladies’ coach as per law. Even if he is with his wife, even then, he is not allowed in the ladies coach. Now, it also seems he reached there by mistake. At least say sorry and try to deboared in next stop.”

As per the DMRC rules, anyone caught travelling in a women-only coach will face a penalty of Rs 250. Male children up to the age of 12 can travel in ladies’ coach if they are accompanied by a women passenger. The first coach of the Delhi Metro in the moving direction is reserved for ladies.
