Watch: Desis Can't Keep Calm As Robot Delivers Food In China

Innovation has made life easier for all individuals around the world. In the ever-changing environment of modern life, the use of technology has become more rampant. Even artificial intelligence (AI) is making its presence felt in many aspects of our daily lives. Earlier, a glimpse of robots being used to serve food in restaurants surfaced, and now a video circulating on the internet shows them being used to deliver food to doorsteps in China. Weeks after this video surfaced, an Indian influencer got a chance to experience it and shared his thoughts on Instagram.

The video captures influencer Shridhar Mishra of Uttar Pradesh during his recent trip to China to attend an event. The clip shows the influencer running out of his room excitedly, saying that a robot came to deliver his food. He then follows the robot as it returns after delivering the package. The video concludes with the robot entering a lift. In the caption, he wrote, “Home Delivery by Robot at SDLG Event in China.”

Since being uploaded, the video has gone viral. It has received over 3.5 million views, and the numbers are rapidly increasing. Many online users promptly reacted to the video. A user stated, “It’s a cute robot in a Chinese hotel that delivers food and other services from that hotel.”

However, a curious person asked, “Wo lift mein floor kese select karega” while many pointed out, “China is more developed than India.” An individual sarcastically stated, “Tum use choodne aaye the lift tk bhagte Bhagte.” Another joked, “India mai hota to apaharan ho jata is ka.”

Earlier, a travel vlogger Ken Abroad shared about the new innovation. The video shared by him captured an incident where he received his meal delivered by a robot in China, showcasing how AI is changing the way we live.

The video began with the man saying, “I’m about to get my food delivered by a robot here in China!” He waits, and then his phone rings, signalling that the robot delivery has arrived. A robotic voice speaks in Chinese. He opens the gate to his room and is greeted by the robot waiting outside.

Initially confused about how to take his delivery, the man checks the robot’s features, he presses a button and watches as his food appears. With some confusion, he learns to close the compartment by tapping the button again. He informs viewers that there is a timer for retrieving food from the compartment as well.
