Romantic clips, featuring the adorable moments shared between couples, garner huge traction on social media. One such video doing the rounds of Instagram is a food vlogger named Amar Sirohi’s first moment post-wedding at his home shared with his wife. She is also a food vlogger named Nisha. The clip shows Amar planting a kiss on Nisha’s cheeks and lips. She smiles and kisses Amar in return. The text overlay on the clip shows, “10 years of love, struggle, ups and downs…finally, we made it.” While Amar looks handsome in a sherwani and a colour-coordinated turban, Nisha looks adorable in a red wedding lehenga. The track Ishq Bulaava by Sanam Puri and Shipra Goyal from the film Hasee Toh Phasee plays in the backdrop. The video’s caption reads, “Our first moment at home after wedding!”.
Social media users lavished compliments on the clip. One of the users commented that it is one of the most beautiful moments in life for couples who opt for a love marriage. “Congratulations I am so happy for you”, wrote another user. Others hoped for a similar fruition to their relationship.
A similar clip had surfaced some time back where the groom tried to kiss the bride on the stage when they were about to exchange garlands, also called the varmala ceremony. In this video, the bride was a little shy to let the groom do this act in front of the entire audience. Surrounded by people, the groom attempts to whisper something in the bride’s ear before trying to kiss her multiple times. She relents every time but accepts his wish at the end. Eventually, he manages to kiss her cheek, much to the surprise of those present. The intimate display of affection between the couple has led to the video gaining traction on social media.
Some of the users objected to the groom’s gesture saying that the bride was uncomfortable and he should have avoided it. One of the users even called him a red flag. Other users also mentioned that the groom should have respected the religious song being played in the background and not kissed the bride.
