After the match against Lucknow Super Giants was over, a content creator shared a hilarious video, referring to Hyderabad’s scintillating display of batting.

The Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad played host to the fastest chase of a 150-plus score in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday, May 8. All thanks go to the Sunrisers Hyderabad openers – Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, who went all guns blazing after Lucknow Super Giants set a target of 166 runs. The duo took only 9.4 overs to complete the chase as the Hyderabad-based side registered a commanding 10-wicket win in the crucial home fixture. The SRH batting unit featuring big hitters like Head, Abhishek and Heinrich Klaasen has looked quite invincible in this IPL.

After the match against Lucknow Super Giants was over, a content creator shared a hilarious video on Instagram, referring to Hyderabad’s scintillating display of batting. Anil Lobo, a Dubai-based social media influencer, portrayed the character of a random cricket fan, who wanted to take a break during the interval between two innings. The decision was proven costly as Anil missed the majority of SRH’s batting.

The video opens with Anil going to the washroom after the Lucknow Super Giants wrapped up their innings. As the target looked challenging on the Hyderabad wicket, Anil felt the hosts might not be able to win the match at least in 10 overs. Upon coming out of the washroom, Anil was left with a shock. He saw Abhishek Sharma smashing the final six to secure the victory for Sunriser Hyderabad.

The video caught the attention of many IPL fans, who found the concept quite relatable. Since being shared on Instagram, the post has garnered more than 3,75,000 views and over 25,000 likes. One of the viewers was quick to acknowledge, “I felt the same yesterday.” “Same thing. I just had juice and came back when they had scored half of the target,” commented a fan. A person said the batting of Sunrisers Hyderabad looked more like “highlights.”

Both Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma batted at a 250-plus strike rate against Lucknow Super Giants. The visitors had to struggle a lot to breach the 150-run mark in the first innings. The wicket, however, looked completely different during the chase. Abhishek struck 75 runs off 28 balls while Head played a boundary-laden knock of 89 runs in just 30 deliveries.
