Peanut Butter’s salty and nutty flavour rarely needs any modifications. At most, one would find two modifications in the peanut butter market, crunchy texture or smooth texture. Now a post on X is going viral that jokingly calls out a brand for making flavoured peanuts in Schezwan and Barbeque flavours. On Friday, an X user named Soumya posted a photo of MyFitness Schezwan Peanut Butter (Smooth) and MyFitness Barbeque Peanut Butter (Smooth) from a supermarket shelf and wrote, “We need to bring back fear of God.” MyFitness is a US-based company that specialises in peanut butter. This post soon gathered over 13,000 views and over 200 likes.
In response to this post, an X user claimed that he was involved in launching this product and explained the reasoning behind these uniquely flavoured peanut butter. He explained, “I am a part of the team that launched this. The core idea was to substitute sugary Veeba/Dr Oetkar spreads with something “healthier”. It didn’t fully work out which is fine with us- still better than cheese Schezwan dosas ???? PS – do try the hero product chocolate flavour once.” Soumya wrote back, “agree on the schezwan dosa bit 100% and the need for sugary substitutes. also pls don’t mind, i am a part-time hater but full-time supporter.”

This is not the only strange-flavoured food product that has provoked mixed reactions from foodies. Last year, ice cream brand Van Leeuwen collaborated with condiments company Hidden Valley and launched a ranch-flavoured ice cream.
