The entire nation is on the edge of its seat, eagerly counting down the days to January 22 – a day that’s being hailed as nothing short of a Diwali extravaganza in India. Why? Because it marks the grand inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, and the excitement is palpable. From a colossal 108-foot-long incense stick to a hefty 2,100-kg bell already presented to the temple, it’s a collection of first-time events in India, creating a buzz that feels like a full-blown festival.
In the midst of this extraordinary build-up, a man from Durgapur, West Bengal, is stealing the spotlight. Chhotan Ghosh has gone viral for crafting a 4 by 4 feet replica of the Ram Mandir using an unconventional material – 20 kgs of Parle-G biscuits. Yes, you read that correctly! It took Ghosh and his friends approximately five days to construct this unique masterpiece. Employing thermocouples, plywood, glue-gun, and biscuits, they meticulously created a sacred structure now open for everyone to visit and admire in their city.

But wait, Ghosh is no stranger to the art of crafting jaw-dropping replicas. Previously, he turned heads by not just creating but also putting on display a Chandrayaan-3 replica, a tribute to the brilliant minds at ISRO. And guess what? It wasn’t your run-of-the-mill static piece; it boasted a rocket that propelled the replica to a soaring height of about 30 feet in the sky.
Meanwhile, shifting the spotlight back to the Ram Mandir, as the nation’s excitement reaches a fever pitch, the prolonged wait of several decades is about to culminate with Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurating the Ram temple on January 22. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony kicked off on January 16, with the sacraments slated to continue until Monday, according to the temple trust. So, until then, let the festive fervor continue to reverberate!
