Parle-G Omelette To Dal Makhni Ice-Cream Roll, Top Bizarre Recipes Of The Week
As much as we don’t want to attempt it, it’s good to know how high the bar has been set this time.

If you browse through recipes on a regular basis, then probably you might have come across recipes that will make you wonder about the purpose of eating altogether and feel like you need to apologise to the food gods on their behalf. Each weird dish pushes us closer to the end of the world, for what could be worse than watermelon Maggi, chocolate pizza, mango pani puri, and so on? But, as much as we don’t want to attempt it, it’s good to know how high the bar has been set this time.

Let’s take a short peek at this week’s bizarre foods:

1. Shahi Angoor

This curry includes grapes, which already sounds strange, but let’s look at how to make it. Start with a cup of yoghurt. Add 1 tablespoon each of red chilli powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and cumin powder. Mix well. In a pan, heat some ghee and roast 1 cup of Makhana (fox nuts). Once they’re roasted, remove them from the pan. In the same ghee, add 1 tablespoon each of fennel seeds, coriander seeds, and chopped onions. Saute until the onions are dark. Then add the yogurt mixture. Keep stirring until the gravy thickens. Add salt. Finally, add grapes and the roasted Makhana. Mix well. Cook for another 2-3 minutes. Garnish with cream and coriander before serving.

2. Parle-G Omelette

Start by preparing an omelette and adding your typical seasonings and vegetables. This is where things get crazy, so be ready: crumble in some Parle-G cookies. And just when you thought it could not be any more ridiculous, before serving, give it an ample spray of mayonnaise.

3. Dal Makhni Ice-Cream Roll

The vendor begins this unusual preparation by transferring dal makhani onto the chilled pan of an ice cream roll maker. He then stirs in the cream and blends until it’s smooth. He then uniformly spreads the mixture across the pan and forms it into three rolls with a scraper. He combines the ice cream rolls with onions and naan for serving.

4. Maggi in Cold Coffee

A street vendor is seen filling a pan with cold coffee at the beginning of the video. He next breaks open a packet of Maggi noodles and puts them into the coffee, one by one. He then adds the Maggi tastemaker, chopped onions, capsicum, red chilli, and coriander leaves. Even more unexpectedly, he adds coffee powder to the mixture. After it’s baked, he tops the unusual dish with a tomato ketchup drizzle.

The cook began by pan-frying a mixture of veggies, including sweet corn, onions, capsicum, carrots and peas. For extra taste, he put kasuri methi and garam masala on top. He combined fresh cream and boiling rice with the prepared veggies. He added the sauce from another palak chole dish for colour and taste. The spaghetti, which he completely mixed in, was the dish’s standout component. Lastly, he topped the meal with shredded cheese to give it a final touch.

What's your reaction?
