Omelette With Parle G: This Food Combination Is Disappointing

Many popular Indian street foods and snacks have, time and again, been subjected to unusual experiments. Street food vendors and other chefs frequently dig deep into their imaginations to serve something unique on the plate. While some of these turn out to be absolutely mouth watering, others do not appear to be appealing to the public. Recently, a street vendor decided to experiment with an omelette, pairing eggs and Parle-G biscuits! The fusion is being referred to as “Moye Moye omelette” on the internet and is viral now. However, people were not quite impressed with this unusual recipe.

The short viral video was posted on Instagram by a food vlogging page that shows the making of this quick dish from scratch. The vendor cracked two eggs into a mixing bowl, then whisked in finely sliced onions, salt, and turmeric powder. He then placed the egg mixture on a buttered pan and spread it evenly. While it looks like any other omelette until this point, here comes the twist.

He then took a pack of Parle-G cookies and carefully placed them on top of the omelette, completely covering the egg’s upper layer. Following that, he placed cheese on top of the biscuit layer and left it to melt. Finally, he folded the omelette and served this one-of-a-kind meal combination with a pack of Parle-G and some sauces.

Since being uploaded, the video has received over 13.8 million views so far and a slew of reactions in the comments section.

While some simply said, “Rip omelette,” another joked that the food vendor might have made a mistake while cooking, “Recipe ka page mix hogaya.”

Some users were sympathetic to the biscuit and sarcastically said, “Parle G be like: meri shaktiyo ka galat istemaal ho raha hai,” “Parle G sorry bro hum tumhe bacha nahi paye.ande ki maut mara gaya hai tume.”

Others were left confused and wrote, “Samaj me na aaye, mitha Khaye, ya namkeen khaye, moye moye. Aathuuu.”

Seeing the vendor add bizarre things to an omellete, some users also suggested a few more. “Bro forgot to add sambar, rasam, curd,” said a user.

All in all netizens were quite done with such experiments and exclaimed, “Please stop weird experiments on food.”

Additionally, people also took notice of how unhygienic the utensils were in the clip. A user asserted, “Things got moye moye right from when he used a rusted spring to whisk the egg.”
