Various unlawful incidents go viral on the internet every day. Meanwhile, a similar incident took place in Bhopal recently, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. Vintage Villa Marriage Garden, located on Sehore Road in the Bisankhedi area of Bhopal, was sealed by the Municipal Corporation due to an outstanding property tax of Rs 82 lakh.
Now, instead of collecting property tax, the garden owner reopened the garden by breaking the lock. When the corporation staff inquired, the owner said that the birds used to sit on the lock and they tore the sealed cloth. The news is currently going viral and has left people in shock.
According to reports, the municipal corporation officers were surprised after hearing the strange logic of the garden owner. The owner could not even explain how events like birthday parties and marriages were being organised at the property, which had been sealed. According to the corporation staff, around 15 functions have taken place here since it was sealed. It is estimated that the owner has earned more than Rs 50 lakh during this period.
The municipal corporation sent the file to senior officials to register an FIR against the owner of Vintage Villa Marriage Garden two weeks ago, but no decision has been taken yet.
Similarly, back in 2019, a similar incident happened in Bhopal. A ban was imposed on a private marriage garden in Khanugoan. A day later, Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) officials passed the blame on each other over the violation. District Collector Tarun Pithode issued instructions to validate permission for all marriage gardens along the Upper Lake, after which two were sealed.
According to reports, the Gul Bagh marriage garden hosted a party despite being sealed. It was sealed by the BMC and SDM Bairagarh following the directives of the district administration. The Gul Bagh marriage garden is located near the retaining wall of Upper Lake and is just meters away from the lake’s full tank level (FTL).
