Desi Family Enjoying Three-course Meal on Train Has Internet Relishing the 'Taste'. Watch Viral Video
Viral video of a Desi family enjoying a 'three-course meal' on a train gets 16 million views. Here's how internet reacted.

Train journeys are incomplete without the pleasure of relishing home-cooked meals. That ‘Sukhi Sabji,’ ‘Roti,’ ‘Achaar,’ and ‘Bhujia’ taste no better than they do while traversing the rails. Sure, you could settle for the available train meals, but for a true Desi, relying on the magic of home-cooked food is the only way to make a long journey worthwhile. And guess what? This very essence was captured in a viral video, showcasing a family indulging in a ‘three-course meal’ aboard a train.

The footage, shared on Instagram by user @rohan_rajput999, displays six family members indulging in their meals served in disposable utensils. So, what graced their on-the-go menu? Parathas teamed up with a dry Sabji were easily identifiable. And as if that weren’t enough, they also packed what appeared to be stir-fried masala rice and a burst of flavourful pickle.

Truly, what more could one crave during the otherwise mundane and lengthy train journeys?

As the comments section unfolded, several users shared their affinity for this culinary ritual. One user revealed, “We take 2 time meal with us, and since it can’t be fresh overnight due to heat, for breakfast we are dependent on IRCTC.” Another chimed in, “It’s normal for us we prepare food for long drives because it’s our comfort thing.” A third enthusiast shared, “My family also do this.. Three compulsory course :- poori, aloo ki sikhi sabji and achar.”

Yet, amidst the shared camaraderie, dissenting voices emerge, criticising the practice of indulging in a variety of meals on the train. “The problem is some of them make the area soo dirty and no concern for cleaning.” remarked one user. Another added, “Reason why trains are so dirty, most ppl use oily hands all around.” The third skeptic voiced concerns, “Hope they clean after eating. Already public places so dirty in India.”
