Delhi Metro: Women's Holi Celebration Turns 'Cringe' As They Sleep Over Each Other in Viral Video
Delhi metro viral video: Women engage in an indecent act of applying colours on each other on moving train, public calls for police's intervention.

As Holi approaches, content creators are diving headfirst into the vibrant festival, sharing their unique celebrations through reels and videos on social media. Among them, the Delhi metro has emerged as an unexpected hotspot for these creators, turning their commute into impromptu shooting sets. Recently, this trend took a controversial turn when two women decided to join the fray, sparking a wave of outrage online due to their inappropriate antics.

The viral clip features the two women, one in a white dress and the other in a white saree, seated on the metro floor amidst scattered colours. With their faces already covered in colour powder, they proceed to apply more to each other’s faces, choreographed to the tune of the song “Ang Laga De.”

The scene escalates as they begin to apply colours by rubbing their faces together and engaging in other suggestive actions, such as pretending to sleep on each other and attempting to kiss, all while surrounded by uncomfortable onlookers.

The video quickly made its way online, prompting a backlash from netizens who called on the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) to take action against such public displays.

“I feel really sorry for the people who had to witness it in the train and unable to do anything to stop them,” wrote one user. Another sarcastically commented, “Delhi Metro now offering Oyo-like facilities for free? Can’t wait to see if they throw in some room service too!” A third exclaimed, “Disgusting.”

Another commenter suggested, “Delhi Metro should fine these cringy people. Metro or any public place is NOT for their cringe videos.”

In a statement regarding the video, the DMRC stated on Saturday, “Prima facie, the authenticity of the shooting of this video inside the metro also seems doubtful as deepfake technology may have been used to create this content.”

The DMRC has strongly condemned the video and advised passengers against creating similar content that could inconvenience other commuters. “Through innumerable campaigns and commuter awareness drives, we have tried to raise awareness among passengers requesting them not to make reels or indulge in any activity which causes inconvenience to fellow commuters. We also request fellow passengers to inform us immediately the moment they see such shoots being conducted,” the DMRC added.
