Bihar Boy Bitten By Snake, Family Takes Both To Hospital

Snake bites are considered to be life-threatening. If left untreated, snake bites can cause death. Now and then, people in rural areas fall victim to this. Getting treatment as soon as possible is the only way. In a rare incident in Kalindi, Bihar, a young boy was bitten by a snake while sleeping. The next morning, the family discovered the snake on the child’s bed, causing immediate panic. Upon noticing bite marks on the boy’s hand, they quickly captured the snake, placed it in a polythene bag and rushed both the child and the snake to the district hospital in Agra for urgent medical attention.

The doctors admitted the boy to the emergency room for observation. The snake, which appeared to be a baby and possibly dead, was also presented to the medical staff to aid in identifying the correct treatment. The family, who resides in Kalindi, had finished their dinner and gone to bed without any sign of the impending danger. This unexpected encounter left the family in distress, particularly when they woke to find the snake alongside the bitten child. As the child was admitted to the emergency ward, there are very less chances of danger.

Earlier, a woman named Pooja Vyas was attacked by snakes six times in six years. She was rushed to the hospital and saved due to the timely treatment. This incident happened in Katni, Madhya Pradesh. Pooja Vyas is a resident of Guna Bachaiya village in Bahoriband tehsil. On May 10, Pooja was rushed to the hospital after a snake bit her. According to the victim, she was working at home when the snake bit her. The incident happened in the courtyard of her house. After she realised this, she informed her family members about what happened. Her family took immediate action and took her to the hospital for treatment. She was rushed to Bahoriband Hospital. Then she was referred to the district hospital. Doctors were able to save her, as she reached the hospital in time. She was dosed with antivenom.
