Today, artificial intelligence (AI) is utilised in nearly every facet of life. Whether it’s engaging chatbots to create drawings or even crafting a personalised diet plan, AI’s utility has skyrocketed. Surprisingly, it’s now being employed to impress a date. Yes, a recent claim by a woman in Bengaluru suggests her date might have used AI during their conversation.
Sharing her experience on the ‘India’ subreddit, the woman, known as @hustlegurrl, recounted her excitement about meeting a man with whom she’d been chatting. She described the conversations as “really good” and found him “funny and super entertaining.” However, upon meeting, she discovered he was a completely different person.

“He could barely speak a proper sentence. Not that he was shy or awkward. It was the opposite. He was extremely confident and extroverted. But all that language and wit disappeared. It was so weird i was a bit taken back,,” she explained. However, the notion that he might have used AI to chat with her occurred to her later during their conversation about startups and AI.
She observed, “He spoke in length about things in AI and some tools he’s using. Then he let it slip how he used AI even in his chats. And he quickly changed the subject. That’s when i realised what had happened.” She concluded her narrative by expressing her frustration with the encounter, branding her date as “dull and uninteresting” in person.
