American chipmaker Qualcomm announced its latest Snapdragon 835 chipset in the starting of this year. This will be the flagship chipset for the year 2017 and will be powering many devices. In the list are phones like the Sony Xperia XZ and also a concept 'Gigabit' phone by ZTE. The latest reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy S8 will also come with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor.
According to Qualcomm, the new chip takes up 35 percent less space and consumes 25 percent less power than its predecessor, the Snapdragon 820. This will make the Samsung Galaxy S8 one of the most powerful smartphone to come out in the year 2017.

But, the downer for Indian consumers is that Samsung is known for pushing their flagship phones with Exynos processors for the Indian market. This might be a let down for many and an opportunity for companies like OnePlus to come out with their next flagship killer that will be powered by one of the fastest processors of our times.
