The Oppo Band Style, which is the global variant of Oppo Bracelet unveiled last year, will launch for global markets (including India) on March 8. As per the dedicated Amazon India microsite, the Chinese tech company will launch the Fashion Edition of the fitness band, as well. The launch event is taking place on the same day when the Oppo F19 Pro series, which includes F19 Pro+ 5G and the F19 Pro smartphones, will debut in the country. Oppo’s sister brand OnePlus (under the conglomerate BBK Electronics) had unveiled its Oppo Bracelet (or Oppo Band Style) inspired OnePlus Band earlier this year.
Oppo shared the development in a tweet where it notes the launch event will start on March 8 at 7 PM (IST). Fans can watch the live event on Oppo’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube channels. The pricing details of the Oppo Band Style or Oppo Band Style Fashion Edition are yet to be disclosed.
In terms of specifications, the global and the China variants of the Oppo Band Style (or Oppo Bracelet) are expected to be the same. To recall, the Oppo smart band that is currently available in China features a 1.1-inch colour AMOLED display and carries an inbuilt optical blood oxygen sensor for SpO2 level monitoring. The device is also capable of tracking sleep cycle, heart rate, footsteps, among many more.
The Oppo Bracelet (Oppo Band Style for global markets) also comes with 12 sports modes to track fitness activities such as running, walking, cycling, swimming, badminton, cricket, yoga, among others. It comes with a 100mAh battery that is touted last 14 days per charge. The Oppo Bracelet’s features are identical to the Oppo Bracelet Fashion edition, therefore the fashion edition of the Oppo Band Style is expected to be the same. The Oppo Band is compatible with Android 6 and above or iOS 10.0 and above. Users can manage the band with the HeyTap Health app.
