OnePlus 2: The OnePlus One successor expected to be unveiled today

New Delhi: Last week, OnePlus had hinted towards launching a possible successor to its flagship OnePlus One smartphone. The next in line, dubbed OnePlus 2, is expected to be released today.

OnePlus had hinted at the news on Facebook and Twitter with a semi-sketch of the purported device with a description that read, “We’re always looking for ways to shake up the tech industry. And we think it’s time for change. Find out more June 1.”

Although the name of the device has not been revealed by the company in either of the posts, it hints towards the potential successor to the popular OnePlus One phone.

Alongside announcing the open, invite-free sales of its OnePlus One devices from April onwards, the company had also said that it will initially launch its OnePlus 2 devices with invites.

Recently, benchmark leaks on Geekbench listed the specs of the purported device which carried model number A2001; the model number of the One is A0001.
