Varanasi shall set in motion the path of good governance: Modi

Gujarat Chief Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi has set the ball rolling from Varanasi saying the change in India will begin from the temple town. "Varanasi shall set in motion the wheels of change that will take India on the path of good governance," Modi said in his recent blog post on Varanasi.

In his blog, Modi has said that he will work towards making Varanasi the 'intellectual capital' of India. He has also said that he will rejuvenate the handicraft industry of Varanasi if he comes to power.

Modi has also hit out at the UPA saying the UPA-II has taken the nation backwards instead of taking it forward.
