New Delhi: Echoing the sentiments of Lal Bahadur Shashtri's family demand of declassification of files related to his death, the former PM's media advisor Kuldip Nayar said, "All files related to Shashtri's death must be made public."
Speaking exclusively to CNN IBN, Nayar recalled his last meeting with the former PM. "I was the first person to go into the room," he said.
After he entered the room, he saw that Shashtri's slippers were fine but the thermos in the dressing table was overturned."
Expressing shock, Nayar said that there was no post-mortem conducted after his death. He also refused to comment on whether Indira Gandhi government deliberately didn't want to take any action.
The former media advisor added that he was willing to depose before any inquiry commission investigating Shastri's death.
