New Delhi: Congress MP and former Union minister Shashi Tharoor is likely to be questioned by police for the second time after he returns from Jaipur Literature Festival..
Earlier on Monday, Tharoor was interrogated for over four hours in the Vasant Vihar police station in New Delhi by the Special Investigative Team (SIT) in the murder case of his wife Sunanda Pushkar.
Before the formal questioning started, Thaoor wanted to meet senior Delhi SIT officers probing the case, sources said.
Extra force was deployed at the Vasant Vihar police station in view of the questioning.
The details of Sunanda's medical condition right before her death indicate that she claimed to be a patient of Lupus. She was keeping unwell for at least three months prior to her death.
The prescription of the hospital suggests that Sunanda was on a drug called Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ). It is used to treat auto immune disorders like Lupus.
These details corroborate Tharoor's claim that she was not in the pink of health before January 17, 2014. The AIIMS medical board's final report has negated the possibility of Sunanda suffering from Lupus.
