The Center will now make further changes to the draft of the food security bill after after Sonia had disapproved of some of the clauses in the bill

The final draft will be made after an important ministerial meeting on Monday to consider Sonia's suggestions.

Government sources have told CNN IBN that a final decision may not be taken at the empowered group of ministers (EGOM) meeting but the bill may go to Sonia Gandhi's National Advisory Council.

Sources have also said that the final view could be taken by the Union Cabinet although the EGOM is empowered to taken decisions on behalf of the government.

The EGOM had cleared the draft food bill for cabinet approval last month on the March 18 and Union Agriculture minister Sharad Pawar had said the Union Cabinet would clear it within a week.

However, Sonia Gandhi's suggestions were not incorporated. She wanted 35 kg of food grain to be allocated to above poverty line families but the the EGOM had cleared just 25 kgs that too for only BPL families.
