103. Shahpura is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Mandla (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Shahpura falls in Dindori district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,46,056 voters in the seat, which includes 1,22,902 male voters, and 1,23,150 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Shahpura recorded a voter turnout of 79.07%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.11%, and in 2008 it was 71.3%.
In 2013, Omprakash Dhurwey of BJP won the seat by a margin of 32,681 votes (18.22%). Omprakash Dhurwey secured 42.81% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 19,935 votes (14.39%), registering 37.13% of the total votes polled.
